First Post

Hey Everyone,

Getting ready to go...I officially leave on July 8th, and am getting more and more excited. For here is some more information on my fellowship:

Princeton in Africa places recent college graduates with NGOs and grassroots organizations across the African continent, and since 1999 more than 200 fellows have served in 28 different countries. As you probably know, I have been placed in Lusaka, Zambia and will be working for 10-11 months for the Kucetekela Foundation. The small, grassroots organization was founded by a former PiAf fellow and provides scholarships and mentoring and tutoring services to promising, low-income Zambian youths. Educational inequality is a serious problem in Zambia and much of southern Africa, and I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to assist this organization achieve its goal of giving young Zambians the chance to succeed and to become leaders within their country.

I'm really looking forward to sharing this experience with you!
